Comments: Of all the Caesars throughout history, Heliogabalus is known as one of the most cruel. Known for his perverted sense of humor, Heliogabalus would throw elaborate banquets that included such entrees as crushed glass, camel dung, and ostrich brains. One of his more elaborate events included the release of tons of flower pedals over his guests suffocating them. His rein was short lived spanning from AD 218 to 222.
